Toddlers - 15 to 36 Months
The toddlers are based in the main room of the nursery with a Varity of areas to use, including a carpet
area for construction, hard floor for messy activities, and a quiet area for read and afternoon sleeps.
There are five small groups with in the main room, each with there own key worker. The key worker is
responsible for the day to day communication between parents and nursery, informing parents of theirc
Childs activities, the Childs sleeping patterns, etc.
The key worker also monitors closely the progress in all developmental areas by observing and keep assessment on the child which with are very informal. The assessments are carried out during thier
time at nursery, all records are kept at nursery and are available for parents to view at all times.
There are a few items that parents must bring to nursery each day for the child;
- One change of clothes, unless potty training then a few changes are needed.
- Disposable nappies
- Creams and wipes.
Within the nursery we ask all parents to provide slippers or slip on black plimsolls for your child to
wear in nursery, these can be kept in your childs tray. The children feel more comfortable in the
playrooms and it establishes a routine as they enter the nursery. |
